All of our wrench station kits include an X-Station, and torque wrench with ER specific tightening key. The X-Station is designed to hold your tool holder in place while you torque the collet nut to the appropriate torque setting using one of 2 torque options depending on the tools diameter range. Not only does this save you from racking your knuckles but consistently tightening to a specific torque setting maximizes your tool life, collet life and cut quality. Under tightening causes tool slippage and even allows tools to come out of the spindle during the cutting process potentially injuring someone! Over tightening can damage collets and cause balance issues which will affect cut quality and drastically reduce the life of your tool holder, collet nut, and bit.
